Tis the season ...

To do nice things for nice people!! So I was talking to my very good friend a while ago and she told me she was still using stocking that she had when she was married ... bad Christmas Karma!! So I took it upon myself to rectify that situation and here is the result. Matching stockings for her and her son!!

Since she is not a green and red person I chose this lovely combination from Moda's "Figgy Pudding" line. I love this fabric and the non-traditional color combination is just so yummy!

So I don't know if you have noticed but I have a lovely new picture up. My very talented friend Rhonda thought I needed a better picture so she took one!! We spent a very fun day on the river bank and she took tons of wonderful pictures of my daughter and me. This was one of my favorites from the day.

Actually my favorites were all of my daughter but I needed one of me for here! This was my fav!

Summer is so busy ...

Hi to my visitors!

I just wanted to say I haven't forgotten you and while I am busy making lovely new things I just haven't managed to get them up on the site. I promise to rectify that situation soon!

Something very exciting also is I have finally opened my Etsy store! It's not very full yet but it's coming along. So soon you will be able to link from here or shop the Etsy store directly. Kids need bags too!!!

So let me tell you a little story about my inspiration for this particular bag. I was heading to Costco one day with my daughter and she decided that she needed to take some crayons and a coloring book and a toy with her. So she grabbed a bag of crayons and a bag for her coloring book and another bag for her toy ... she apparently didn't have a bag big enough for everything! That's when I had my light bulb moment and the Crayon Tote was invented.

The tote has a band around the outside of the bag with individual pockets for storing all those crayons, pencils, paint brushes or whatever your little artist needs!! The inside is big enough for books and toys. The bags measure 10" x 14" ... not so big that they will overload it and you will end up carrying it and not so small that they won't be able to fit all their "necessities" inside!

The possibilities for fabric combinations are endless ... as are the awesome fabrics out there! A girl could lose her mind in a great fabric store ... here are some combinations I have available. If you have something else in mind please email ... tanya[@]sontza.com and we can discuss.

As you all know by now I am a mom ... I have two kids who are 5 and 7 1/2. Most of our friends have kids about the same ages. We moms have noticed something ... there is a gap in the market! Everywhere you look there are diaper bags: cute ones, funky ones, ugly ones ... you get the picture. But what about those of us who are past needing a diaper bag? That's where Sontza's new line of textiles comes in!
